Seeing as how I have no progress to report, I thought I’d utilize wordle to give you all a little statistical rundown of randomness on both Oracles Promise and Lodestar.

Oracles Promise:

First word when sorted according to frequency (low to high): aback

Last word when sorted according to frequency (low to high and excluding words like “the”): Jade

# of times I use the word “the”: 3,023

Total # of words: 44,433

Lodestar:

First word when sorted according to frequency (low to high): abandoned

Last word when sorted according to frequency (low to high and excluding words like “the”): Derek

# of times I use the word “the”: 648

Total # of words: 10,388

I spent the last couple of days working on the first paragraph of Lodestar because I wanted to enter it into Nathan’s 3rd Sort-of-Annual Stupendously Ultimate First Paragraph Challenge. I’ve entered it and you can read it if you want. But I’ll warn you, it’s somewhere upward of entry #1000 at this point so if you don’t want to read through all the comments to find mine, I’ll understand. Like, try #1460 or so. (It’s hard to know. About 4 or 5 people all posted at the same time.)

I did one character bio for Oracles Promise that I needed to do, but it’s really only a partial bio. (Honestly, do I need one more character?) I did Jasmine’s character bio, too. She’s the little sister of one of my characters who, it turns out, is the same age as my MC and I decided it would make more sense for her to be one of my MC’s friends instead of the two girls I’d created for her. So I think I lost two characters in the process of it all and have added an antagonist to the pot. (Never fear, there was an antagonist before, but I can’t really talk about him.)

Oh, and if you’re not reading in Reader, you’llย have noticedย the latest changes. (Hint: It’s right at the top of the sidebar.)

Another sidenote, don’t forget that you can still ask me a question if you so desire and I’ll answer it tomorrow!
