WiP Wednesday 4/14

Well, it’s that time again.  Time for me to face the music and admit whether I accomplished anything this past week.

*sounds of a funeral dirge begin to ring through the air*

Um, guys?  *looks to the soundbooth*  Wrong tape!  You’re supposed to be playing “Fanfare for the Common Man!”  (Boy does that bring back memories.)

I’ve actually made a bit of progress this week.  I’m over 25,000 words into the story and I really feel like it’s coming along nicely.  I’m excited to finish this and do some minor tweaks to it prior to sending it to betas.  Hopefully that will come in a couple of months from now.

Guys, I really feel like this could be the first manuscript I carry all the way.  And that’s an exciting feeling.

I’ve moved both the internal and external conflict forward in a very nice direction.  The stakes are continuing to be upped and the triangle is developing well.

I’m loving this journey.  Most times, it doesn’t feel like work when I’m writing this manuscript.  And that’s a feeling that’s kind of got me worried.

How are your WiPs coming along?

Follower Giveaway Winners!

Thanks, everyone, for being here.  If I had more funds I’d give more prizes.  I hope to keep entertaining you for a long time to come, but if I ever lose your interest I wish you all the best.

And on to the winners.  I used a random number generator to do the selection so there was no favoritism.

Drumroll please!

Congratulations to Susan Mills and Embee!  Send me an e-mail to novicewriteranonymous@gmail.com and I’ll get you your gift certificates.

Have a great day everyone!
